Dr Tan graduated from University of Science, Malaysia on 2011 with Dean’s List award. Upon graduation, Dr Tan worked as a dental officer in the Ministry of Health, Sabah Malaysia for 5 years. During the period of five years, she did attachment with various specialist clinic including restorative specialist clinic for two years before she pursued her postgraduate education in Restorative Dentistry in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia on 2016.

She completed her postgraduate degree in Restorative Dentistry on year 2020 and obtained membership in faculty of Dental Surgeon from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in year 2015. Dr Tan is also a member of the Malaysian Dental Association and Malaysia Association of Prosthodontics. She has keen interests in endodontics (root canal), dental aesthetics, general dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation.
